Join us for a special Yom HaShoah commemoration as we watch powerful clips from “The Golden Door” (Beginnings-1938),  the first of three episodes of The U.S. and the Holocaust, the acclaimed documentary series by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and Sarah Botstein.

This film examines America’s response to the rise of Nazism, placing it within the broader context of global antisemitism, U.S. immigration policy, and racial ideologies of the time.

Following the screening, Rabbi Sam Klein will lead a thoughtful discussion as we reflect on history, memory, and moral responsibility.

We will conclude with memorial prayers.
