Join the Wood River Jewish Community for a special Yom Ha’atzmaut Brunch & Learn as we celebrate Israel’s independence with an engaging fireside discussion on resilience and rebuilding through the lens of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Israel has long been known as the "Start-Up Nation," and in times of challenge, its entrepreneurial spirit has played a key role in overcoming adversity and driving renewal. This fireside chat will feature a dynamic panel of industry leaders who are shaping the future of Israeli innovation.
Featured Speakers
Guy Pross – Partner at Lumir Ventures, where he leads funds management, capital strategy, and global investor relations. With experience raising over $1 billion across multiple funds, Guy has held leadership roles at Israel’s top VC firms, JVP and Viola. He has also worked closely with global corporations like Hyundai Ventures and Ford, helping scale transformative technologies. In addition to his work in venture capital, he is an Adjunct Professor at Reichman University, where he teaches Advanced Data Analytics and Smart Cities.
Aviv Ratzman – Tech executive, entrepreneur, and social impact leader, Aviv is the former CEO and co-founder of Highcon (TASE:HICN), where he built and led a global team of 100+ employees and achieved $50M in unit sales over six years. With deep expertise in scaling startups and securing multi-million-dollar funding, Aviv now mentors startups, provides business consulting, and leads social entrepreneurship efforts to revitalize the western Negev after the war.
ris Shtein – CEO & Co-Founder of Mentaily, an AI-powered mental health platform revolutionizing clinical decision-making through cutting-edge AI and GenAI technologies. With partnerships including Sheba Medical Center and Microsoft’s Global Black Belt team, Mentaily is addressing the global shortage of mental health professionals. Previously, Iris held leadership roles at ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center, overseeing telemedicine, remote care, and strategic partnerships. She also served in the Israel Defense Forces as Deputy Head of Medicine for the Southern Command, bringing extensive experience in healthcare innovation and crisis response.
